Privacy
The Vineyard Society is run by one person. This page says plainly what happens to your information. There is nothing clever hidden in it.
What is collected
- Your email address, if you ask for a guide or an itinerary. It is stored by Kit, the email service used to send them, along with a note of which page you signed up from.
- What you type into the trip request form, if you send one. That goes to Netlify, which hosts this site, and is emailed to me.
- Anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics — which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. Not names, not individuals.
What is not done with it
Your details are never sold, rented or traded. They are not shared with wineries, hotels or restaurants. No winery pays to appear in the guide, and none of them receive your information.
You only receive email if you asked for it. Every message carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Deleting your information
Email hello@thevineyardsociety.com and ask. Your record is deleted, and you will get a reply confirming it.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets a cookie to tell repeat visits from new ones. Blocking cookies in your browser does not stop any part of this site working.
Services used
Netlify hosts the site. Kit sends the email. Google Analytics measures traffic. Each keeps its own data, under its own policy.
